Magic Coin Envelope

 

Very visual coin trick where a coin vanishes from inside a magic envelope that you had just made, right in front of the audiences eyes. Great audience reaction from this free close up magic trick.

This is an impressive coin trick that can be done as impromptu magic using only two simple items, a coin and a square of paper. This performance is easy to do and gets an amazing reaction from your audience. A classic of close up magic and an easy trick for beginner magicians to perform.

Obtain  paper and coin to perform this close up magic trick.

1. Before you do this stunt, obtain the materials to perform the trick and show them to the audience as being normal everyday items.

Place the coin in the centre of the paper.

1. While holding the piece of paper in one hand, take the coin and place it in the centre of the paper

Fold bottom edge of paper up to cover the coin.Bottom edge should not be folded all the way up to the top edge.

2. The next stage of the performance is to fold the bottom edge of the paper up to cover the coin.The bottom edge should not be folded up all the way up to the top edge but should be about 5 millimetres below it.

The right edge ofthe paper should be flded behind the coin.

3. The right edge of the paper is then folded back behind the coin as shown in this photo..

Fold the left edge of the paper behind the coin.

4. The left edge of the paper is then folded back behind the coin as shown in the picture.

The final fild is made by folding the top flap of the paper over the coin.

5. The last fold is made by bending the top flap of the paper behind the coin. This appears to the audience to have completely sealed in the coin. Unknown to them there is actually an opening at the top of the paper envelope.

Turn the envelope upside down and allow the coin to fall into the palm of your hand.

6. Turn the paper envelope upside down in your hand and let the coin fall into your palm where you can now conceal it from the audience with a little misdirection.

Tear the paper in two and the coin appears to have vanished.

7. For a finale, you can tear the envelope in two, where the audience see that the coin appears to have vanished. Use a little patter to make this trick more entertaining.
